Students can login to Compass using their NetID and Password. This internet communication tool is used by students, staff, and faculty to disseminate information regarding social and academic events, administrative announcements, as well as course information and assignments.
The College of Business’ Office for Information Management (OIM) operates a computer lab in the basement of David Kinley Hall. In order to use the printer in this lab or any University computer lab, students must either use their University identification card or a copy card, which can be purchased from the undergraduate library.
The OIM student consultants in 25 David Kinley Hall (DKH) assist students with software and hardware problems, including viruses and networking. Laptops and LCD Projectors that can be hooked up to laptops can be checked out free from the OIM office in 124 DKH. The LCD projectors must stay on campus and can be only checked out for one day. (Phone: 244-0812) Campus Information Technologies and Educational Services (CITES) is the unit that manages the campus central computing facilities, networks, and passwords. The CITES Resource Center is located at 1420 Digital Computer Laboratory (DCL), 1304 West Springfield Avenue (phone: 244-7000). The CITES Resource Center offers free consulting on personal computer and network account issues. Consultants answer questions, make referrals, and troubleshoot computer problems either on the phone or in person.
