Roundtable to Address Corruption in International Business
The Colleges of Business and Law are hosting a corporate compliance roundtable on Friday, November 6, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The title of the roundtable is "Combating Corruption When Doing Business Globally: Corporate Compliance Programs and the FCPA." Industry experts will lead this roundtable by discussing the Federal Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and ways in which U.S. companies work to comply with the law.

MBA Professor Presents Approach for Planning for Recessions

Economic recessions will happen, and businesses that plan for these recessions before they occur are likely to survive and prosper. In 2005, before anyone knew of the impending recession, Illinois professor Steve Michael and Villanova University professor John Pearce developed a four-pronged plan to help businesses navigate recessions. Michael's plan is presented in an article in a recent issue of Inside Illinois.
