Kapil Rajurkar is a first-year student of the Illinois MBA. He worked in the IT industry for four years as a business analyst and business development manager. Apart from being a program assistant with Illinois MBA admissions and a member of the Academic Council, Kapil is a senior consultant with Illinois Business Consulting (IBC). He also serves as the Vice President of Finance for the MBA Service Association.
“The Illinois MBA is the perfect launching platform for students like me who have worked outside the United States. It is the perfect mix of academics and real-world experience through opportunities like IBC,” said Kapil, who is from India. “Also, diversity in student community is a strong point of the Illinois MBA. It manifests the fact that diversity is invaluable in today’s business world.”
Kapil recently put his business and presentation skills to the test by competing in the Big Ten Case Competition held at Ohio State University. Kapil and his teammates, Cody Boyd, Zivar Hallaji, and Matthew Cuff, made a strong showing, advancing to the final round and finishing second overall.
Kapil will be working with Intel over the summer.
