Are international students eligible for employment?
As a student in F-1 status, you may work on-campus up to 20 hours per week during the academic year and full-time during school vacation periods. On occasion, students in F-1 status experience a sudden and unexpected change in their financial situation. The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) may authorize off-campus employment to help alleviate the situation. What is a Core Faculty Assistant and Program Assistant?
A Core Faculty Assistant (CFA) provides support to faculty who teach MBA core courses during the semester. Duties can include office support, proctoring exams, grading and other responsibilities designated by the faculty overseeing the position. The employment term can be either eight weeks or one semester in length. A Program Assistant (PA) provides support to the administrative offices in the Illinois MBA such as Admissions, Career Services, and Student Affairs. Typically, these positions involve office support and interaction with prospective, current, and former students for a full semester. For more detailed information, view our current CFA/PA contract. What computers/printers can I use on campus?
MBA students can use the printer in 437 DKH at no cost. Click here for installation instructions. CITES Instructional Computing Services (ICS) provides computers at convenient locations for all students, faculty, and staff at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. What are parking options for students during class?
