The Operations Management concentration focuses on developing concepts and skills for managing resources productively and for creating value in organizations. Students concentrating in Operations Management typically will seek careers as strategy/operations consultants, supply chain managers, project managers, manufacturing or service operations managers, and as leaders within other mission-critical functions of an organization. Students often choose to enhance their concentration in operations with courses in financial management, marketing management, or information technology and management.
Prerequisite: Completion of first-year MBA core curriculum
Required: Sixteen hours of approved 500-level courses. Below is a selection of approved courses that have been offered previously:

Each concentration is defined by the courses that are approved for concentration credit as well as substitution courses. Students wishing to pursue a particular concentration, but seek to include courses that are not listed, must consult with an adviser in MBA Student Affairs regarding the approval process.
