While participating in the MBA program at the University of Illinois, students are required to register as full-time status. Full-time status is defined as a minimum of 12 hours and a maximum of 20 hours during the fall and/or spring semesters.

An overload is defined as a course load in excess of the 20-hour limit.  Students who have extenuating circumstances and would like to petition for consideration of an overload must see an advisor in MBA Student Services. Students must meet the necessary requirements to petition for an overload.
