All students admitted to the Illinois MBA program are admitted as "limited status." After a successful first semester of GPA 2.75 or higher, this status may be upgraded to "full status." Should a student fail to meet the minimum acceptable academic performance during the first semester, s/he will be prohibited from further registration.

Students may also be admitted on "limited status" based on language proficiency. If this is the case, s/he will be required to successfully complete an English language program prior the summer prior to beginning his or her MBA studies at Illinois.
