The Illinois MBA is hosting two informational events on Thursday, February 11. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the Illinois MBA. There will be an information session and lunch at the Illini Center in Chicago at noon. In addition, there will be an information session and reception in Naperville at 6:00 p.m. For more information and to register for either event, please go to our events page.

Student Wins First Prize in Sustainable Business Essay Contest

Srinivas Venugopal, a first-year MBA student, has won first prize in the BoP (Base of the Pyramid) Narrative Competition, hosted by the Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise at Cornell University, for his submission, "Engaging with the Emergent Oder to Create Social And Financial Value." His work was chosen from among 100 submissions from 15 countries illustrating businesses in 25 different countries. The event was sponsored by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

It's Official: Business Building Earns Highest Environmental Rating
The U.S. Green Building Council has awarded the Business Instructional Facility with the LEED Platinum rating, the highest possible rating offered for sustainable, environmentally friendly construction and design. This means that the University of Illinois has the first business facility at a public university to earn the Platinum level. To read a full article, click here.
