Illinois MBA students Gagan Bhatia, Min Xie, and Atsushi Fukuno, along with Master's of Finance student Tirath Muchhala, recently competed in the Kellogg/ABI Corporate Restructuring Case Competition held at Northwestern University on November 5-6. The team advanced to the final round and finished third (out of 12 teams) for the second year in a row, earning a prize of $2,500. This case competition, co-sponsored by the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Kellogg School of Management, challenges groups of business students to solve a hypothetical business case of a distressed company before an audience of experts in the turnaround/crisis management/restructuring industries.
